Owens Farms
Owens Farms, established in 1969 by Justin’s grandfather Gary Owens, originally operated as a premier Thoroughbred breeding farm before transitioning to cattle in the late 1980s. After Gary's Parkinson's diagnosis in 2005, the farm was downsized and shifted focus to cattle breeding, specifically using embryos from National Grand Champion cows. Today, Owens Farms boasts a fullblood Piedmontese herd and state-of-the-art facilities aimed at modernizing small, local ranching. The farm is committed to enhancing Piedmontese genetics and promoting the breed's growth, with future plans to integrate advanced technology for herd and breed improvement.
